On Wednesday, multiple wolf attacks in various areas of Kaisarganj Tehsil resulted in injuries to three individuals, including two children. According to Ram Singh Yadav, the Divisional Forest Officer, a wolf attacked Anju Devi, aged 35, while she was sleeping in a thatched house in Thagpurwa village at around 5 AM.
The forest department team promptly transported the injured woman to a nearby government hospital for treatment. Later that morning, at approximately 9 AM, Radhika Yadav, a four-year-old resident of Kodainpurwa in the Majhara Taukali Gram Panchayat, also fell victim to a wolf attack.
In a separate incident in the afternoon, a seven-year-old boy named Kishan was attacked by a wolf while playing outside his home in Sainpurwa village. The Divisional Forest Officer confirmed that all injured individuals are receiving appropriate medical care.
It is noteworthy that since September 9, there have been six fatalities, including four children, in similar incidents across villages in Kaisarganj and Mahasi Tehsil. Additionally, around 35 to 36 people have sustained injuries from attacks by wolves, jackals, and other wild animals.
